The Walt Disney Studios reports that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story achieved another $110.1 million global weekend (including Monday domestically) to take its worldwide total to $790 million! The Star Wars film added $64.3 million over the four-day holiday weekend domestically ($49.5 million for the three-day portion) and took in $45.8 million internationally. That means Rogue One has now grossed $439.7 million in North America, including Monday, making it the #2 release of 2016 behind only Finding Dory‘s $486.3 million and passing Captain America: Civil War‘s $408 million. Internationally, Rogue One has now earned $350 million. The $790 million worldwide total means that Rogue One has now passed Deadpool‘s $783.1 million to take over the #7 spot on the global box office list for 2016.

The animated hit, which cost about $75 million to make, has earned $180 million in North America after two weeks. Directed by Garth Jennings, Sing features the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton and Tori Kelly.
Sony Pictures’ Passengers also kept its third spot, adding $20.7 million for a two-week total of $66 million. Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, and Michael Sheen, the Morten Tyldum-directed film cost $110 million to make.
Moving up two spots, Disney’s Moana grossed another $14.3 million for the four days to push its domestic total to $213.4 million. Internationally, the film has earned $189.1 million for a worldwide total of $402.5 million after six weeks. Moana was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. The film features the voices of Auli’i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Jemaine Clement, Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger, and Alan Tudyk.
20th Century Fox’s Why Him? rounded out the top five with $13 million. Made for just $38 million, the film has earned $37.6 million after two weeks. The comedy stars James Franco, Bryan Cranston and Zoey Deutch.
Denzel Washington’s Fences (Paramount) earned $12.7 million for the four-day holiday in the sixth spot. The film, starring Washington and Viola Davis, has grossed $32.4 million and cost just $24 million to make.
In seventh place, Damien Chazelle’s La La Land (Lionsgate) earned another $12.3 million from just 750 theaters to bring its total to $37 million. La La Land, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, was made for just $30 million.
20th Century Fox’s video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed, starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, added $10.9 million for the four days in eighth and has earned $41.9 million. It cost $125 million to make.
