FilmDistrict has bought U.S. distribution rights to Only God Forgives, the Ryan Gosling action film to be directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, reports Variety.
Only God Forgives is set in the worlds of gambling, boxing and prostitution in Bangkok. The film is a revenge story centering on a Thai cop and a British gangster hiding in Thailand.
The movie will start shooting this November for a 2012 release.
FilmDistrict is also releasing Drive, directing by Refn and starring Gosling, on September 16.
