Fox has given the green light to four new shows and has dropped five from its schedule next season.
The shows joining previous pickups “Terra Nova,” “Allen Gregory” and “Napoleon Dynamite” will be J.J. Abrams’ “Alcatraz,” “Bones” spin-off “The Finder,” and comedies “The New Girl” and “I Hate My Teenage Daughter.”
“Alcatraz” stars Jason Butler Harner, Jonny Coyne, Jorge Garcia, Parminder Nagra, Robert Forster, Sam Neill, Santiago Cabrera and Sarah Jones. “The Finder” stars Geoff Stults, Michael Clarke Duncan and Saffron Burrows. “The New Girl” stars Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Jake M. Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. “I Hate My Teenage Daughter” stars Jaime Pressly, Katie Finneran, Kristi Lauren, Aisha Dee, Chad Coleman, Eric Sheffer Stevens, Kevin Rahm and Rosa Blasi.
It was not good news for “Breaking In,” “The Chicago Code,” “Human Target,” “Lie to Me” and “Traffic Light,” as all five shows won’t get another season on the network.
Also, Fox has decided not to move forward with the pilots for the “Locke & Key” miniseries, as well as “Council of Dads,” “Iceland,” “Outnumbered” and “Weekends at Bellevue.”
