Independent entertainment production and finance company Bold Films has announced it has committed to financing its next project, titled Isle of Man, which it is producing with Michael De Luca’s De Luca Productions. Bleed for This helmer Ben Younger will write, direct and produce the film about the annual motorcycle event held on the Isle of Man.
The film will be produced by Michel Litvak, Gary Michael Walters and Michael De Luca (Captain Phillips, The Social Network, Fifty Shades of Grey). Johnny Pariseau will oversee the project for De Luca Productions. Jon Oakes will oversee the project for Bold Films. Younger and De Luca are both represented by CAA, who brokered the deal at the Toronto International Film Festival. Isle of Man is set to begin production in March 2017.
“Ben Younger is a brilliant, young director and I’m thrilled to support the next phase of his career,” said Michel Litvak.
“Isle of Man is a muscular action film wrapped around a great character journey that exemplifies the Bold brand,” said Gary Michael Walters.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Bold Films on what is an absolute passion project,” said Ben Younger. “The TT is the last, great, dangerous race on earth and I am excited by the idea of bringing this new world to a general audience. Over 200 racers have lost their lives on this Island. I want to do their stories justice.”
