Thandie Newton is set for Good Deeds, the next film from writer/director Tyler Perry, Variety reports.
Perry will star as Glen Deeds, a businessman who, just before his own wedding to an affluent woman, falls for a stuggling single mom. Newton will play the object of Deed’s affections.
Newton worked previously with Perry on For Colored Girls and can next be seen in the thriller The Retreat. Perry, meanwhile, appears in this month’s Madea’s Big Happy Family and is scheduled to headline I, Alex Cross after Deeds, which will shoot in Atlanta later this month.
