Judi Dench, set to reprise her role of M, revealed to The Express that Sam Mendes’ production of the as-of-yet-untitled 23rd James Bond film is set for production later this year.
“I am going to do the next Bond in November,” she says, “I don’t know the location yet but hopefully it will be somewhere nice. I can’t tell you much more but I do enjoy playing M as she is such a strong character. I like being bossy and my grandson thinks its cool that I’m in Bond.”
Depending on the size of her part, Dench’s involvement in the film could fall anytime during the production, so cameras could theoretically begin to roll even sooner, though November should serve as a safe ballpark start date until a more exact shooting schedule can be confirmed.
Mendes will work with a script from Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan, eyeing a November 9, 2012 release.
