Julianne Hough, best known for “Dancing With the Stars,” has joined the cast of Adam Shankman’s Rock of Ages opposite Tom Cruise, Variety reports.
The New Line/Warner Bros. film adapts the Broadway hit and features Cruise in the role of Stacee Jaxx and Hough as Sherrie Christian. The actor playing the male protagonist, Drew Bowie, has not yet been announced.
Hough recently appeared in Burlesque and is set to star in Paramount’s remake of Footloose, set for release on October 14th.
