Pernicious, the latest from tenacious indie horror filmmaker James Cullen Bressack has been set for a June 19th VOD and theatrical release by Benetone Films. Find the trailer and a host of stills (some NSFW), below.
In Pernicious, “three young girls, holidaying in Thailand, unleash the spirit of a murdered child with only one thing on her mind – revenge.” The film stars Emily O’Brien, Ciara Hanna and Jackie Moore. The director scripted with Taryn Hillin.
Bressack is interesting, if only for producing and releasing a lot of largely DIY/indie horror like home invasion film Hate Crime, as well as 13/13/13 and To Jennifer. Pernicious seems to be his biggest production yet, having been shot on location. Will it result in something more polished?
