For instance, where is Hannibal represented anywhere in these nominations? Hell, recognize the direction and writing on that show, if not the performances. How about Vera Farmiga for her intense, colorful work on Bates Motel? (Say what you will about that series, I think she’s the strongest component that holds it all together and makes it worth watching.)
American Horror Story was nominated for Outstanding Miniseries. Jessica Lange and Sara Paulson were nominated for Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie. Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy and Kathy Bates were nominated for Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon was nominated for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special. And, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk got writing nominations for the show as well.
