Conjuring cinematographer John Leonetti is going to direct with James Wan sharing producing duties.
The film will star Annabelle Wallis (how’s that for a coincidence?) and Ward Horton.
The Annabelle doll was seen at the start of The Conjuring as a possessed item terrorizing a group of 20-somethings. Her reign of terror ended when Ed and Lorraine Warren obtained the doll and added them to their collection of supernatural items.
Warner Bros./New Line are still developing a sequel to The Conjuring. It’s unknown if Annabelle will go direct-to-DVD/Blu-ray as originally rumored or if it will get a theatrical run.
