There’s a film testing in Los Angeles tonight that James Wan produced. For a while, we were reporting on the production under its original title, House of Horror. Then the producers simply started calling it the “Untitled James Wan Thriller” until they found a better moniker. Desde Hollywood first reports, and we can confirm, that the film is now being called Demonic.

The story centers on the aftermath of a horrific massacre: five college students, brutally murdered inside a decrepit, abandoned home. Fresh on the scene, detective Mark Lewis and the police departments psychologist, Dr. Elizabeth Klein (Maria Bello), question one of the few survivors who explains they were amateur ghost-hunters, seeking out paranormal phenomenon at the abandoned house, believed to be haunted. But what started out as a harmless activity turned into something truly terrifying, and the suspect claims the responsibility doesnt lie with any of the inhabitants, but with the house itself.
