Two bits of news further proving that Hollywood is showing even more confidence in the supernatural these days. Deadline reports Screen Gems has picked up the script called The Unsacred from writer Amanda Gusack. No details about the plot, but it’s described as The Possession meets The Haunting in Connecticut.
Meanwhile, Lionsgate is teaming up with Blumhouse Productions again for White Smoke. The idea was bought on a pitch by Jeff Richard and Mark Biancullia.
Variety says it concerns “a series of bizarre and haunting occurrences that grip the Vatican. A renowned neuroscientist is summoned by the inner circle of cardinals to find a logical explanation.”
