Mandalay Pictures’ recently announced adaptation of Sophie Jordan’s Firelight now has a writer in the form of Ramona and Beezus scribe Nick Pustay, says an article at The Hollywood Reporter.
The first part of a series of young adult fantasy novels, Firelight was released last September with the first book described as follows:
With her rare ability to breathe fire, Jacinda is special even among the drakithe descendants of dragons who can shift between human and dragon forms. But when Jacinda’s rebelliousness leads her family to flee into the human world, she struggles to adapt, even as her draki spirit fades.
