Hellified first made headlines in 2009, however, things have been quiet on the development front until now. The Hollywood Reporter says Michael Finch (Predators) has been brought in to work on the script and scale it back to meet budget restrictions.
The story follows a strike force sent into Hell to stop the end of the world. According to THR, the vision of hell itself is what is being scaled back. Originally, the strike force enters a fiery environment that was originally intended to be pulled off with CGI. Now, Hell is going to be a “bombed out urban landscape.”
The project is now at Paramount; we’ll see if this was sees the light of day…
