The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride Returns for Fourth Year

With the unprecedented amount of media and celebrity attendance in previous years, Los Angeles Haunted Hayride has upped the ante with a brand new 360-degree interactive experience.  The LAHH will take the terror to all sides, and even overhead, of unsuspecting patrons while some get splashed with a bit of spatter for a more unnerving experience.  Additionally, the trail has been extended in length to provide more content and a longer ride than ever before.

This year’s theme is “The Congregation,” which will explore the darkness and power of cults.  “The Congregation” is the prequel to previous years, as it takes patrons back in what has been a three year story to experience the darkness that overcame The Clifton’s, as well as the community before the fateful night that a mysterious church fire killed an entire congregation.

“We’ve really focused on bringing our guests into the ride this year,” said Melissa Carbone, Executive Producer of Los Angeles Haunted Hayride. “When they leave, they should look like they just woke up from a rough night out. We’re going to show them immediately that you have no idea what to expect or from where to expect it. This is the best work we’ve ever done.”

The “In-Between Dark Maze” is also bigger and darker this year, as it dares guests to enter the shadowy maze.  Not for the faint at heart, this attraction will send scare seekers into a sea of blackness with nothing but their hands in front of them and a low voltage lantern that does not help them see as much as it helps them be seen.  The demons, maniacs, and creatures residing in these walls have grown unusually large and vicious.  But beware of Doom, the master of these walls, for he is the most vicious of them all.

Lastly, “Purgatory” is a sideshow to entertain guests while they are in the event queue.  Psychics, games, a Scary-Go-Round, a House Of Mirrors, horror movies, music, magic and freak shows, demonic stilt walkers, a special FX booth, photo scenes and more – there is plenty of entertainment to keep busy and all activities in “Purgatory” are included with ticket purchase excluding food, gaming, & merchandise.
