Jake Wade Wall penned the script for the sequel which begins shooting in late August.
According to the trade, Sean Astin, Brando Eaton and Ben Hollingsworth will star.
Eaton had a small turn on Dexter for a while as the Trinity Killer’s son. He later went on to star in The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Hollingsworth starred in Divine: The Series and Astin, of course, is best know for The Goonies and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Patient Zero is set on a cruise ship in the Caribbean that collides with an abandoned research vesse. A deadly virus is unleashed and the passengers must find a way to survive before the flesh eating disease consumes them all.
