As we reported earlier this week, Rob Zombie announced he was giving his fans the first look at his new movie The Lords of Salem during his summer tour with Megadeth. At last night’s concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey, Zombie played the first 2-minute teaser for the movie on the screen before the band kicked into “Dragula.”
A fan in attendance at the show with the handle WrongWayFiend1331 caught it on camera and uploaded it to YouTube and though the sound isn’t great and the camerawork is pretty shoddy, you can get some idea of the images and tone of the teaser from what was shown.
Produced by Jason Blum, Andy Gould and Oren Peli, the original horror movie by Zombie stars Sheri Moon Zombie as a radio DJ in Salem, Massachusetts who gets involved with promoting a gig by a mysterious group called the Lords of Salem who may in fact have a darker past. It also stars Meg Foster, Ernest Thomas, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Torsten Voges, Bruce Davison, Billy Drago, Richard Lynch, Lisa Marie, Maria Conchita Alonso, Ken Foree, Barbara Crampton, Michael Berryman, Sid Haig, Judy Geeson, Sheri Moon Zombie and Patricia Quinn.
The Lords of Salem doesn’t have a release date as of yet.
