Screen Daily says the film centers “on a pregnant woman and her husband who are terrorized by possessed children while on vacation on a remote island.”

In 2008, Gold Circle Films was developing In the Playground, a separate redo of the 1976 film, which was to be a directing vehicle for David Alcade. The project never got off of the ground.
The original Who Can Kill a Child? was directed by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador and concerned murderous children living on a Spanish island who prey on English tourists.
It is very likely the remake will be retitled when it hits the U.S. as to avoid confusion with Tom Holland’s Child’s Play.
