Composer Marco Beltrami is going to have his hands full over the next year. The man behind this year’s scores for The Thing and Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark has lined up his next three projects.
According to Film Music Reporter, Beltrami has signed on to do the score for World War Z, Paramount’s epic zombie film opening December 21. Marc Forster is directing the adaptation of Max Brooks’ novel which stars Brad Pitt.
Also on Beltrami’s plate, Paradise Lost. Where that falls in terms of “priority” is unknown. The film, to be directed by Alex Proyas, has not rolled cameras and recently Legendary Pictures put the project on hold to re-tool the script and bring the budget down.
And, finally, for those interested in seeing where the Die Hard series is going, Beltrami is also providing the score for A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifh film in the franchise.
