The man is making a comeback on the big screen in a big way. He’s got The Expendables 2 on the way, he’s shooting Last Stand…and now there’s this project entitled Black Sands, which may place the actor in Shock territory as it is being described as a supernatural thriller. The last time we saw him tussle with evil from the other side was in End of Days.
Here’s the string of information and how it came in.
The Arnold Fans website reported Black Sands was being retitled to Black Sunday, however, a rep from Arnold’s camp reached and corrected the site saying the film will still be called Black Sands. What the rep did not do is ask the site to alter what they’re saying the film is about. They describe the pic as being Constantine meets Commando with Arnold playing an “immortal” angel of death who takes on weapons dealers. (Wasn’t that an arc in the Punisher when he was all supernatural ‘n stuff?)
Directing Black Sands are Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh, who both have Act of Valor opening soon and stars real Navy SEALs in a story based on true events.
Like I said, take all of this with a grain of salt until confirmed.
