Marvel’s Kevin Feige: Doctor Strange Sooner Than Later?

Company’s top dog offers an update

It was all about Marvel Studios’ future at the New York Comic-Con this weekend. How next year’s Avengers will pave the way for “phase two” of the company’s cinematic saga. Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 fit into that second phase, but who else? Possibly the long-mooted Doctor Strange film.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige told IGN, “I think I can probably say sooner rather than later in some announcements on Doc Strange and when that could come to be, I would love to see him part of phase two.”

Last we heard, Marvel was searching for a director to tackle their supernatural/mystical character. And the studio, Disney, locked down some Strange URLs, perhaps in anticipation of establishing official sites for both the film and its soundtrack.

Perhaps Doctor Strange will fill one of two 2014 release dates Marvel locked down, after all…
