The thriller with Nicolas Cage and John Cusack
Vanessa Hudgens will join Nicolas Cage and John Cusack in the upcoming thriller The Frozen Ground, written and directed by Scott Walker.
Deadline says shooting begins next month in Alaska.
Hudgens starred in this year’s Beastly and Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch.
The Frozen Ground is described as being in the vein of Seven and The Silence of the Lambs
It follows Alaskan detective Glenn Flothe (Cage) who sets out to end the murderous rampage of Robert Hansen (Cusack), a serial killer who has gone unnoticed for 13 years. As the bodies of street girls start to add up in Anchorage, fear strikes a chord with the public.
Detective Flothe goes on a personal manhunt to find the killer and risks his life to find him before the next body surfaces. When a seventeen year old escapee (Hudgens) comes running to the law, Detective Flothe finally finds his lead and nears his killer. But will he catch him in time to save the next victim, or will it be too late?
