Studio commissions Source Code writer
Flatliners – which has been cherry-picked for ideas by other films since 1990 – is the next title to be remade by Hollywood.
THR says Columbia Pictures is spearheading the effort. Laurence Mark is producing and Ben Ripley (Source Code) will be writing.
Joel Schumacher directed the original film which starred Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, William Baldwin and Oliver Platt. Peter Filardi’s script concerned med students who dabbled in near-death experiments.
