He’s Darabont’s “number two”
This should really come as no surprise, but Glen Mazzara is taking on showrunner duties for The Walking Dead season two after Frank Darabont stepped away this week.
When there was talk of a disruption in the writing bullpen of the show, Darabont assuaged any fears by revealing in June, “We hired Glen Mazzara as our Number Two in the room. We consider him our head writer and heâs just a fantastic asset.”
Mazzara is best known for his work on The Shield.
