Shooting begins in a few weeks
Shock spent part of the afternoon today hanging around on the set of MTV’s upcoming new horror-comedy series Death Valley where Tania Raymonde (Lost) was wrapping her final day shooting.
Up next for the actress: Susanna Lo’s Manson Girls. “I’ve been doing a lot of research for that, reading and watching all of the films,” she told us. Part of her film consumption included Jim Van Bebber’s The Manson Family and a number of documentaries. Raymonde knows her stuff, recalling for us how long it took Van Bebber to get his film made.
“Manson Girls is different and really focuses on the women who were, pretty much, brainwashed by this guy. You barely see Charles Manson in this, it’s all about the girls and the film is all about the weeks leading up to the first murder.”
Raymonde will play Leslie Van Houten alongside co-stars Taryn Manning, Estella Warren, Heather Matarazzo and Monica Keena. Bill Moseley is signed on to play Manson.
“We start shooting in a few weeks,” said Raymonde. Just prior, the actress revealed the girls will likely be living together in prep for their roles.
