A release shift for the supernatural thriller
What is it about Joel Silver’s production outfit Dark Castle? Anything it touches either does the release date shuffle or sits on the shelf waiting for one.
Whatever the reason may be, Dark Castle and Warner Bros. have opted to push the supernatural thriller The Apparition out of the fall 2011 slot to an undetermined 2012 date.
Written and directed by Todd Lincoln, the film stars Ashley Greene, Sebastian Stan and Julianna Guill.
When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly and Ben discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural, but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force…
