Following his DreamWorks remake of Fright Night
New York Magazine’s Vulture has gotten word that director Craig Gillespie, the helmer of DreamWorks’ upcoming 3D remake of Fright Night and Ryan Gosling’s Lars and the Real Girl is in talks to take over the directing reins of the adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smithâs 2009 novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
If the deal happens then Gillespie will have taken over from two previous directors who deserted the project, Mike White (writer of The School of Rock) and recently Oscar-nominated David O. Russell (The Fighter), and others whose names have been brought up as possible replacements, including Severance director Chris Smith.
