He says debut could come sooner
Bryan Cranston, the star of AMC’s Breaking Bad, spoke to NY Mag and the actor is getting various outlets excited about a possible early debut for season two of The Walking Dead.
“It was a decision from AMC that they wanted to position us [Breaking Bad] in July, along with Mad Men. And I believe they’re going to put Walking Dead in July as well. I think it’s just a sensible thing â they want to attract as many eyeballs as possible, away from the heavy competition of the September, November, January start.”
Mind you, the actor doesn’t have anything to do with the programming choices AMC makes. Also keep in mind, production isn’t even in full swing yet on WD2. Scripts are not written, cameras have not even rolled yet. A July start flies in the face of previous talks that the series would return in October.
Take it with a grain of salt until something official comes in.
