Speaking out from E3
When John Carpenter speaks, I love to listen. The man is never boring, especially when he’s in a good mood.
The director of Escape from New York, Halloween, The Fog and other gems was at E3 discussing his time working with Steve Niles on the upcoming F.E.A.R. 3 and he had a few nuggets to share.
Oh 3-D films: “I was around for the first wave of 3D in the Fifties. I think it’s bullshit. It’s a way to take more of your money.”
On video game sex: “The only sex I’ve seen in a game is [in God of War 3] with the scene where you have sex off-screen and punch the button. Man, I punched the button.”
On turning his films into video games: “If you have a check for me, you can have them all.”
This is why I love this guy. For more with Carpenter, follow this link.
