Joins Bradley Cooper in thriller
Robert De Niro is the latest cast member addition to Relativity Media’s suspense thriller The Dark Fields starring Bradley Cooper (The Midnight Meat Train). (Elizabeth Banks is also rumored to star.)
Based upon the novel by Alan Glynn, Dark Fields centers on a down-and-out Gotham writer (Cooper) who comes into possession of a designer drug that gives him newfound intelligence and success. De Niro will play a brilliant financial mogul who begins pursuing Cooper’s character.
Neil Burger will direct, with Scott Kroopf, Leslie Dixon (who also penned the script) and Ryan Kavanaugh producing. Tucker Tooley is exec producing. The film starts shooting in Philadelphia this May. De Niro will next be seen in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete.
