Sherwood Horror Finds Deliverance Baddie

Taking on which small part?

Bill McKinney, recognizable ’70s character actor from Deliverance, The Gauntlet and more recently Tim Sullivan’s 2001 Maniacs, is in talks to play Richard the Lionheart in Sherwood Horror.

Director John Regan’s contemporary take on the Robin Hood legend (with a horror twist) is gearing up to start production.

Ex-con Rob Locksley (DJ Perry) returns home after a six-year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil Sheriff and his horde of blood-sucking minions.

Production outfit Collective Development Inc. has narrowed filming locations down to three possible states, even though director John Regan is lobbying hard to bring Sherwood Horror to Virginia. Recently, the Los Angeles-based V.G.P. Effects & Design Studio has signed on to provide the FX. Check out some concept art here.
