The new horror/comedy from John Landis
Three more actors have joined Simon Pegg in the cast for Burke and Hare, the new horror/comedy from John Landis. The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision Blog says that Isla Fisher, Andy Serkis and Tom Wilkinson are on board.
Serkis will play Hare opposite Peggâs Burke (replacing David Tennant). Fisher will play Peggâs girlfriend, an actress looking for a patron who might or might not be an accomplice to the murders. Wilkinson will play Dr. Robert Knox, an anatomy lecturer looking for fresh corpses.
The movie begins shooting Jan. 31 in Edinburgh and London, bringing Landis back to the scene of his 1981 hit An American Werewolf in London.
Written by Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft, the film is based on the true story of William Burke and William Hare, two 19th-century grave robbers who find a lucrative business providing dead bodies for an Edinburgh medical school.
