Right on. We’re surprised this didn’t come sooner, but word is that developer Byte Mark is bringing us a Dawn Of The Dead game via the iPhone, based on George Romero’s original classic. (Although the promotional image is using the logo and poster from the remake. Regardless, you bash zombies!)
According to Pocket Gamer, The game follows a similar style to the top-down shooters that have sprayed so many zombie brains around the iPhone lately, such as iDracula, Alive 4-ever, and the forthcoming highly anticipated Guerrilla Bob. The gives you the option of playing as one of three characters – the nurse, the copper or the salesman – as you fight your way through the zombie infested Crossroads Mall with a host of guns and melee weaponry, including baseball bats, golf clubs, axes, taking you through the five levels of the shopping mall or take on 12 different challenges for the top score.
The game has just been submitted to Apple for approval, so early word is that it’ll be available for downlooad via iTunes on January 19th according to All About The Games website.
