Cast as werewolf Alcide in upcoming third season
Plenty of casting news coming out these last few days on HBO’s hit series True Blood, which is currently in the midst of shooting it’s third season.
The Hollywood Reporter says that actor Joe Manganiello (ER, Spider-Man) is the latest addition to the show. He’ll be playing the part of part of Alcide, “a hot and sexy alpha male werewolf.”
Other additions this season include Cooper Huckabee (announced earlier today), James Frain, Alfre Woodard and J. Smith-Cameron (all announced here in yesterday’s post), Denis O’Hare, Marshall Allman, Theo Alexander, Grant Bowler and Nelsan Ellis. Shannon Wells, C.C. Sheffield, Gregg Daniel and Natasha Alam also all landed roles earlier this week.
True Blood stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgård, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell and Rutina Wesley. More when we hear it.
