House of the Wolf Man Finds a Home

Who’s acquired the classic throwback

Eben McGarr’s love letter to the Universal classic monsters of the ’30s and ’40s, House of the Wolf Man, was introduced to genre fans during the fall.

Shot independently, and starring Ron Chaney, the story tells of Dr. Bela Reinhardt (Chaney) and the five guests that he has invited to his castle to see which of them will inherit his estate. He has arranged for a competition of sorts, the victor shall be determined through process of elimination.

Dracula, the Frankenstein monster, the Wolf Man, the gang is all here and I’ve heard great things about the Los Angeles screening they had here. Today, Shock Till You Drop has learned Taurus Entertainment has picked the film up. That’s the production outfit behind Creepshow III, Day of the Dead 2: Contagium and the same very company who has plans to sequelize Romero’s Knightriders. No word on what they plan to do with House of the Wolf Man distribution-wise, hopefully we’ll hear more soon!
