Still waiting to secure financing…
MTV recently caught up with filmmaker Kevin Smith and since Halloween is right around the corner, inevitably the subject of Smith’s much talked about horror pic Red State came up.
“Finding cash has been difficult,” he confesses to MTV. “It’s not a commercial movie by any stretch of the imagination. If money comes together for it, boom, we’re ready to start moving forward. Script’s all done, crew is on board, we just have to find our cast.”
You can check out the video below for more from Smith on the matter, but it seems until financing is locked, we won’t be seeing his horror film debut just yet. We’ll keep you posted if there’s any updates.
