Didn’t see that coming. I debated covering Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island for months. Then I saw the trailer that made its debut yesterday. Consider me very interested now. You can watch it in HD right here or using the player below. This is clearly Scorsese back in Cape Fear mode, taking on a thriller with a hyper-stylized eye.
The film is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the cost of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.
Written by Laeta Kalogridis, the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson and Max von Sydow.
