Second animated feature brewing
Electronic Arts and Starz Media are prepping an animated feature based on the upcoming Dante’s Inferno video game. The two previously worked on Dead Space: Downfall which hit DVD last fall. That, too, was tied into an EA video game.
Film Roman’s Joe Goyette (Dead Space: Downfall) will produce with Victor Cook (Hellboy Animated: Blood & Iron) directing from a script by Brandon Auman (Iron Man: Armored Adventures).
Inferno will mirror the game’s plot and follow Dante’s journey through the nine circles of Hell – limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery – in search of his true love, Beatrice.
Naturally, the video game, animated feature and feature film (now in the works) are derived from Dante’s classic poem.
Anchor Bay Entertainment will distribute the animated film on DVD.
