Cage Wants More from Ghost Rider 2

Writer being sought now

If and when Sony decides to move on a Ghost Rider 2, actor Nicolas Cage – who played Johnny Blaze in the 2007 film – says it will need a bit more to make it worthwhile.

“It has to have that action horror element and go deeper into that if it were to happen and [it should] keep us asking questions. Keep it interesting on a philosophical level,” Cage recently told MTV. Right now, Ghost Rider 2 is one of those “maybe” projects. The powers-that-be are looking for a writer but it’s far from a sure thing.

Mark Steven Johnson was the writer-director on the first film. It made over $220 million worldwide.
