Out of the 2007 American Film Market, one of the most tantalizing slices of celluloid I spied was from The Mutant Chronicles, Simon Hunter’s long-in-development sci-fi/action/horror hybrid that was once kicked around by the likes of John Carpenter. The film is in the can. Complete. A done deal. When Voltage Pictures decides to offload it onto our shores is the question (overseas distro is bright). Today, a new piece of promo art was posted on the message boards for Raw Studios, a production outfit co-operated by Mutant star Thomas Jane. You can find it below.
Set in the 23rd century, the film finds Jane, Ron Perlman, John Malkovich and firecracker Devon Aoki fighting “NecroMutants.”
