No skimping on the extras
Say what you will about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, I, personally, was a bit disappointed New Line did not roll out a hefty two-disc special edition when the film hit DVD. Platinum Dunes’ first Chainsaw endeavor was presented with a lot of class when it made its home video bow and, to date, is the only Dunes film to receive a 2-disc presentation.
The producers assure us, however, that when their take on Friday the 13th winds up on DVD, it will be something special.
“We’ve already talked to Paramount about doing a double-disc on this,” reveals Dunes’ Andrew Form. “[A crew has] been shooting behind-the-scenes [footage] literally since we started tech scouting this movie, through rehearsals, through makeup and all the way through every kill. It’s an enormous behind-the-scenes making of this film.”
He adds there’s word yet if Paramount is talking about re-releasing the Friday franchise box to include Dunes’ entry.
