Warner Bros. doesn’t like Halloween…
Sources around the web yesterday reported Michael Dougherty’s directorial debut, and celebration of all things Halloween, Trick ‘r Treat was dumped by Warner Bros. The Legendary Pictures production was initially slated for an October 2007 bow but was unceremoniously bumped.
ShockTillYouDrop.com was granted a peek at a master list of films (direct-to-DVD and theatrical) currently waiting in the wings for release at WB. Sure enough, Trick ‘r Treat was no where to be found thus further confirming Legendary may be seeking a new distributor for Dougherty’s anthology.
Set during our favorite time of year, Trick stars Brian Cox, Leslie Bibb, Dylan Baker, Rochelle Aytes and Anna Paquin who all learn harsh lessons about the ancient rituals of Halloween and why they must be upheld.
