Choose Your Own Hill

Dark Castle toys with DVD frights

Expanding on two news items we posted here and here, an article was forwarded our way that came from “The Wall Street Journal.” In addition to dispelling the usual disgrace the direct-to-video market is usually afflicted with, the article dropped a pair of interesting scoops. First, Warner Bros.’ planned “Lost Boys” sequel is officially being called The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe (we hear things are moving fast on this and should have some major updates soon). Secondly, the Return to House on Haunted Hill DVD arriving this fall (see the second link above for more) is being developed as a “choose your own adventure” – similar to last year’s Final Destination 3 DVD, however, viewers will be able to guide the direction of the story that will conclude in one of four different endings. The second “Hill” is part of a slate of ten direct-to-DVD flicks on tap at Dark Castle.
