John Goodman is the latest name to sign on for Red State, reports Kevin Smith’s own Hollywood Babble-on Smodcast.
In addition to Goodman, the current lineup includes Michael Angarano, Kyle Gallner, Stephen Root, Melissa Leo and Michael Parks as a Fred Phelps-inspired religious fundamentalist.
Currently shooting on a very low budget (said to be about $4 million), Smith is also offering fans in the LA area a chance to appear as extras in the film, including an outdoor scene to be shot tomorrow, 9/22. Full details are available by clicking here.
