William H. Macy has signed on to play the lead in the Elmore Leonard adaptation Freaky Deaky, reports Deadline.
Macy will likely play the film’s lead character, Chris Mankowski, a Detroit police sergeant who moves from the bomb squad to sex crimes, coming up against a group 60’s radicals who now, in the story’s 70’s setting, are part of an investigation involving the bombing of a limousine.
The film will be directed by Charles Matthau and will likely shoot on location in Michigan.
