With the adaptation of Jojo Moyes’ critically-acclaimed, best-selling novel set to hit the big screen in just over a month, Warner Bros. Pictures has today revealed the new Me Before You movie trailer! The romance stars Emilia Clarke (Terminator Genisys, Game of Thrones) and Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Snow White and the Huntsman) and is directed by Thea Sharrock (The Hollow Crown). The Me Before You movie tells the story of two very different characters: Lou, a small town girl caught between dead-end jobs and Will, a high-profile, successful man who becomes wheelchair bound following an accident. Will has decided his life is not worth living until Lou is hired for six months to be his new caretaker. Worlds apart and trapped together by circumstance, the two get off to a rocky start. But, Lou becomes determined to prove to Will that life is worth living and as they embark on a series of adventures together, each finds their world changing in ways neither of them could begin to imagine.
“I read the book and it was just the most beautiful thing I had ever read,” Emilia Clarke recently told ComingSoon.net about her role in the film. “I was shooting ‘Terminator’ at the time and had a rocket launcher in my hand while crying like a little girl. I felt like the author, Jojo Moyes, had found a part of me and just wrote it down. I knew that I just had to play the role.”
Adapted by screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (The Spectacular Now), the Me Before You movie hits theaters on June 3, 2016.
