The word “new” has a whole new meaning in the age of the Internet. This morning Warner Bros. released what they are calling the “Official Main Trailer” for Black Mass, the story of Whitey Bulger starring Johnny Depp and directed by Scott Cooper. The film will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, followed by an appearance in Toronto just ahead of its Sept. 18 release. Now, I’m not aware of the contents of this new, official main trailer, but if that first trailer didn’t do it for you (and let’s be honest, that first trailer should have been enough) and neither did the second, I’m not sure what this one will do, but have at it. I mean, the studio says it’s new so there must be something new in there.
