Promoting the release of the upcoming cartel thriller, Sicario, from writer/director Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Enemy), Lionsgate has released five “Lotería Card” Posters, paying homage to traditional LoterÃa cards – the Latin game that originated in Mexico.
The cards feature members of the cast including Emily Blunt as FBI agent Kate Macer, Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin as well as two others featuring images that “capture the themes” of the film.
The film’s title, Sicario, means hitman in Mexico and the film focuses on the border area stretching between Mexico and the U.S. where an idealistic FBI agent (Blunt) is enlisted by an elite government task force official to aid in the escalating war against drugs. Along with those already mentioned, the film co-stars Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Donovan and Daniel Kaluuya.
Sicario releases in theaters on Sept. 18.
