Jason Priestley is developing drug-smuggling story Death of a Freerider for the big screen with producers Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev of Nomadic Pictures, says Variety.
Priestley has optioned the feature rights to “Freerider,” written by Jesse Hyde for Rolling Stone about Sam Brown, a 22-year-old Canadian mountain biker who took his quest for adventure into the multi-million dollar business of cross-border drug smuggling, which ultimately lead to his death.
Priestley and Nomadic are looking to start filming at the end of next year.
