Watch: Super Bowl Trailer for ‘Furious 7’ is ‘Mission: Impossible: Fast & Furious’

Well, it appears the biggest CG stunt found in Furious 7 has been given away in the Super Bowl trailer for the upcoming seventh installment in the Fast & Furious franchise as Vin Diesel will drive a car from one skyscraper to another and just before the car plummets through the window on the opposite side of the other skyscraper he’ll get out and just barely survive.

Now, if this isn’t the biggest overall stunt in the film I don’t know what will be (maybe the skydiving cars, which they apparently did practical). I guess one could hope this is merely the opening sequence and there is plenty more silliness to come, but my god, how do you top this? Not that I’m complaining, these films have clearly embraced such ridiculous stunts as this appears to be the equivalent of Diesel driving a car through the nose of an exploding jumbo airliner on a 100-mile long runway in Fast 6, so why not jump a car from one building to another? WHY NOT!?!?! I ask.

Along with Diesel, the cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Lucas Black, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, Kurt Russell, Michael Jai White and Djimon Hounsou with a release date set for April 3.

Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of Fast and Furious 7, which will be released by Universal Pictures on April 3, 2015. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series, and Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel return as producers.
